Before the start of Hunslet RLFC home game v London Skolars on Sunday 17th September K.O. 3.00pm there will be a minutes applause in honourer of Ex Parkside player Don Watson who Sadley passed away in August this year.
Don had not been in the best of health for a long time but along with his son as carer he always made the effort to make the journey and attend the Ex Parkside annual reunion
Dons family will be attending the game so if possible as past Parkside players could we make the effort the to attend say our final goodbye to a great man.

This years Hall of Fame Dinner we have international boxing referee Mickey Vann as our guest speaker. Mickey will be speaking about his experience's in the ring and also will be doing a Q & A. Rocky Whitehead will be our M.C. for the evening and knowing Rocky anything can happen.

After a short illness it is with sadness that I have to inform you Joe Rainford at the age of 82 has passed away.
Joe was a long standing Hunslet RL supporter and a friend of the Hunslet Ex Parksiders.
His funeral will be held Tuesday 5th September 1.30pm at Woodhouse Hill Cemetery, Middleton Road, Leeds LS10 3BN.
Ken Eyre will be representing Bill Ramsey and the Ex Parksiders at the Funeral.
Our Condolences and Deepest Sympathy goes to Joe's family and friends.

Fred's funeral will take place at 3.00pm on Friday 18th August at Lawnswood Crematorium, Otley Road, Leeds LS16 6AH.
The service will be followed by a celebration of Fred's life at The Irish Centre, York Road, Leeds LS9 9NT.
Lets give Fred a good Hunslet RLFC send off and if at all possible wear our Hunslet blazers.

It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the passing away of Fred Cliff.
Fred passed away peacefully this morning.

A great gathering of a pride of Lions.
Last Sunday at South Leeds Stadium Rugby League Legend Neil Fox MBE very kindly attended the Stadium to present four Hunslet R.L. ex Parkside Players with their Rugby League Lions Unique Heritage Numbers.
From L to R :-
Alf 'Ginger' Burnell, Heritage Number 1954. Alf toured in 1954.
Neil Fox MBE.
Geoff Crewdson, Heritage Number 267. Geoff toured in 1966.
Geoff Gunney MBE, Heritage Number 203. Geoff toured in 1954 also in the 1957 world cup.
Dennis Hartley, Heritage Number 302, Dennis toured in 1970.
For the records Neil toured in 1962 and his Heritage number is 248.

Ray Abbey and myself took a trip to the Middleton Railway to have a look and take photographs of the new engine shed wall that's been built through the buy a brick appeal.
Part of the wall incorporates bricks which have past Hunslet ex Parkside players names etched on to them.
This photo shows the area of the wall with the Hunslet RLFC 1965 Wembley team and reserves names.
Sorry about the quality of the photo, but Ray was that busy talking he forgot to take a picture and I made a real mess of it, using my iPad for the first time I finished up taking a load of selfies.
There are many more bricks with Ex Parksiders names etched on but unfortunately my Vintage Brownie Box camera ran out of film and I was unable to take any more pictures.
