Richardson born on the 14th February 1950 a Valentines day baby.
Jack is the treasure of our Ex Players association and it is rumoured that he
learnt his trade from the old Hunslet RL secretary George Richardson. Jack made his 1st team debut against
Swinton RLFC in the 1970/71 season and was a member of the last Hunslet side to
play at Parkside in 1973. Jacks Hunslet Heritage number is 1115
He will be celebrating his birthday this year
in Australia along with his good wife Margret.

GREENWOOD TINDALL... born on the 17th February 1936.

The rumour is that Tinny may be the next
Lord Mayor of Wakefield.
Having completed spells as
CEO of the local Neighbourhood Watch and Chairman of
the Snow Shifting Committee.
According to Gordons old pal George...
Tinny resigned from the Neighbourhood watch because he didn't receive a MBE in the New Years Honours list and that he relinquished the positions as Chairman of the Snow Shifting Committee when he realised that he had to pay for the grit and spades out of his honorarium.

ten months till Christmas.
Parksiders have their birthdays in February so I’ve decided to spread it out over
the month and wish them a happy birthday two at a time.
two are Brian Culley and George Gomersall both were born under the Zodiac sign
of Aquarius. Apparently they are 'lovers of things that are unusual'
was born on the 11th February 1937.
Brian was an
outstanding second row forward signing professional forms for Hunslet RLFC in
1955 for the massive sum of £25.00 he finished his playing career for Hunslet
called up to do his National Service and had the honour to represent the Combined
Services R.L. team playing alongside the likes of Ken Gowers, Derek Hallas,
Mick Sullivan, Ike Southwood & Jim Challinor.
Brian is a
regular attender at the annual Hunslet ex Parkside Players reunion lunch and as
only missed out on one since its formation in 1973.
GOMERSALL was born on the 11th February 1939. You are now an
Octogenarian (that means your 80 George)
George was a
junior international at U-19 level he signed professional for Hunslet RLFC in
September 1958 receiving a fee of £250.00 he made his 1st Team debut
at Parkside against Batley RLFC on the 26th September 1959.
On the 4th
April 1963 George was transferred to Bradford Northern for a fee of £500.00

The widow of Fred Ward Patricia as passed away Funeral service will be held on 18th December at Pontefract Congregational Church, Finkle Street, Pontefract WF8 1HE at 1.30 followed by a committal and blessing at Pontefract Crematorium, Wakefield Road WF8 4HA. All are warmly invited afterwards to refreshments at The Barn Farmer Copley's Pontefract Road Pontefract WF7 5AF.
